  • Seen to the infoboxes and other housekeeping areas! Regarding lyric pages think the tabber template would be helpful to have? I like what you done, and though Fandom seems keen to move away from tabs since they do not currently appear well on phones, it's whichever is practical at this point!

    • I'm totally for having pages for the real-life creators of a series! That's awesome.

I don't really understand the purpose of the promotions page. Most of things on the page are just products - also found on the products page - and there aren't any details or information about promotions. Can you tell me how you'd like to see this page further developed?

I see that the products page explains that the promotions page is for artwork and events. What about using the products page for merchandise and the promotions page for posters/flyers concerning real-world events, ie. the anime's airdate, DVD releases, showcases and exhibitions. That's the sort of info the page names lead me to believe the pages would contain.

Anyway, there is quite a bit of BF merch in stores in Japan and a lot that's been announced for later release, so I'm going to get started on structuring the products page and creating pages for the real-world events that I know of. I've been lucky to be in Japan at this time and get to attend a couple myself.

Lastly, I don't remember anything about Golzine's cat or butler, and I actually dislike working on character pages, so I shouldn't be the one to create those pages, but thank you for the suggestion. I am strongly opposed to publishing blank pages or other forms of half-hearted editing for points. While badges can be good fun and a great way to motivate contributors or see a little recognition for your work, that reward system is easily abused. For example, daily edits to one's profile without other wiki edits can easily get you the "contributing to the wiki for 365 days!" badge, but it also can (and has) get users blocked from some wikis, because logging in isn't the same as contributing.

    • Excellent! Ah yes, seen to that, the promotional materials are now just promotional materials!

This is exactly it, like this is not something you can buy, merely an announcement and that is what is good to document. That way there is both a note of the event and principally the artwork which is often times unique, such as café Ash and Eiji! With the images for promotions perhaps it would be better to remove them from the gallery and have an image under an event to detail that? This promotion was simply that, whereas others would have times and dates. That is an area to develop our own layout maybe?

That is amazing about being in Japan too, I would say hope you had fun but of course you did!

Golzine’s butler (ep 1 around 4.08 minutes in) and cat (10.58) are seen briefly. Minor roles sure, but an intrinsic part of the Banana Fish world and an insight into Golzine - all vital for this all-encompassing encyclopaedia. This is a best example; blank pages are a good foundation for others to add to in this community effort. Like here I have the information for these two ready, just need the pages.

The points are not important, for the Banana Fish wiki it is a different lens to look through. Here the focus is not on points, even motivation since people are free to add as they see fit (constructively) in this open gate community. Yes the high scores particularly with the images are a testament of the hard work put into the wiki, people have definitely earned them. At the same time the view here is simply to attain the images because they are there, may as well gather them and have some nice images of the characters.

As it happens there is a good for and against if you like, for attaining badges on the My Hero Academia wiki here and here. Especially for the contribute daily badges, on a case by case basis for the Banana Fish wiki if people simply want to collect them just because it is certainly not my place to say they cannot, people can take part however they want, not how like I want and that. With that mentioned I would encourage you and others to maintain the streak, the contribute daily badge images are of Ash and Eiji. I also think it’s important for people to feel at ease on wikis.

The Pounce! Badge is vaguely worded and quite the treat to try and explain! It is not make 100 edits in an hour, it is create one page, edit before an hour passes and then do this 100 times. It made sense for me having it explained and also seems to have made sense explaining it like so. Like I say it’s one heck of a process to describe!

Golzine’s Cat and Golzine’s Butler and good to be created and edited once each before an hour passes, that is two pages complete and excellent news that currently you dislike detailing the character pages, because I love it and have that covered!
