Mrs. Okumura appears to be middle aged with minor wrinkles. She has short, curly dark hair.

She appears a strong but tired woman. While she cares for and supports her family, she possibly suffers from loneliness from her husband being hospitalized for an extended time.
Plot[]
During her debut, Mrs. Okumura is revealed to have taken up work at a canning factory to support the family as her husband is currently in the hospital. While she was a welcoming hostess to Shunichi Ibe during his short stay, she is called out by her son about prettying her appearance around him, possibly wanting to convince Ibe to stay and become the head of the family or was simply lonely for a man's attention since her husband had been hospitalized for nearly a year at that point.
